It's my Birthday!

Lesson time: 35 minutes

Learning outcomes: learners will be able to revise vocabulary (a cake, a candle, a balloon, a present, a star).

The objectives:

- to improve skills of using the vocabulary in speech;

- to spread pupils’ knowledge on the topic;

- motivate pupils to study English;

- to develop skills of work in pairs, memory, skills of comparison;

- to bring up careful attitude to the pets.

Materials: multimedia system, pupils book, flashcards (Holydays), Birthday Cards, colored pencils.

Procedure

I. Introduction.

1. Greeting.

Song «Hello, hello!» (відео супровід)

2. Warming up.

Touch the sign you like and say «Hello!» Hello everyone! Are you ready? Go!Go!Go! Stand in circle. Walk. Can you show me how to fly? How to swim? How to jump? Stop! Sit down.

3. Game_1. «Ball Game».

- How are you, ____? — I`m happy.

II. The main part.

1. Aim.

Teacher: Today, we begin to speak about our Birthdays; we will ask and tell about your age and learn new vocabulary — a cake, a candle, a balloon, a present, a star.

So, let’s start our lesson!

2. Talking a story.

PB: p.68-69

1) Teacher: Now, please, open your books — p. 68-69.

Look at the pictures and try to complete a story using your knowledges.

3. Physical activity

Teacher: Дуже добре!

- А тепер, скажіть, що ще крім подарунків ми можемо подарувати на ДР?

- Так! Листавку! — Birthday Card!

- Зараз кожен з вас отримає заготовку такої листівки. Вам потрібно її красиво оформити! (розмальовуємо та кріпимо на виставку)

4. Physical activity

Teacher: Нові слова ми вивчили, листівку підготували. Тепер залишилося привітати Теда! Але, як це зробити?

Вірно — потрібно заспівати пісню!
