Happy Birthday! Урок 4

Objectives:

· to revise colours (red, green, yellow, blue, orange, white, black, brown, pink, purple);

· to revise numbers from 1 to 10;

· to revise vocabulary (a cake, a candle, a balloon, a present, a cherry);

· further practice and consolidation;

· to ask and tell age;

· to ask and tell favourite colour;

Тип уроку: урок закріплення, удосконалення й розвитку знань, умінь і навичок.

Teaching Aids and Materials: flashcards and word cards, a toy Cabu, a ball, cards with tasks, envelopes with puzzles, a poster of a cake, cards with mood.

Procedure

I. Preparation for apprehension foreign speech

1. Greeting

Pupils stand in a circle and sing a song «Hello, How are You?»

2. Warm up

Children indicate their mood with a help of the stickers on the board.

Rhyme «Red and yellow…»

Pupils pass the ball and say a rhyme.

II. The basic part of the lesson

1. Revision of the vocabulary.

Pupils look at the pictures, catch the ball and name the words: a cake, a balloon, a cherry, a candle, a present.

Chant. Pupils say the words with a rhythm, then one word disappears, pupils say the chant again, than another word disappears and so on, till the all words disappear.

2. Revision of the colours and numbers.

Pupils name the colours: red, green, yellow, blue, orange, white, black, brown, pink, purple. Then they count the balloons. Revision of the numbers from 1-10.

1) Speaking.

Pair work. Children ask and answer a question «What is your favourite colour?»

2) Colouring.

Task on the cards. Children listen to the colour and colour the balloon with the number they hear. Then they check the result.

3) Physical break

Song «If you are happy»

4) Practice.

Task on cards. Pupils count things and match them with the numbers.

5) Speaking.

Children catch the ball and answer the question «How old are you?» — «I am… (six/seven/eight)».

3. Indicating the age of Cabu.

Children look for the hidden yellow candles on their cards, count them and find out how old is Cabu.

T: - How old is Cabu?

P: - He’s eight!

4. Group work.

Pupils find envelopes on their desks with the number of their group (1,2,3) and do the puzzles to find out what do they have to decorate the birthday cake with.

1) Making a poster.

Pupils find the envelopes with stickers to decorate the cake.

2) Song «Happy Birthday»

III. The final part of the lesson

1. Summarizing

Ask pupils what did they like most.

Give pupils sweet presents from Cabu.

2. «Goodbye» Song.

Мета: сприяти засвоєнню нових лексичних одиниць та виготовленню листівки

Матеріали: великі картки з малюнками, маленькі малюнки на стільчики, запис пісні Happy birthday та іншої веселої мелодії для гри, програвач, коробка з іграшками, заготовки для листівок, кольорові олівці, кульки, стільчики стоять у колі

Лексика: present, candle, cake, balloon, card, Happy birthday!

Хід уроку

І. Привітання

ІІ. Введення в іншомовне середовище

Слухання пісні Happy birthday. Хто знає, підспівує

Вчитель питає, чи знайома ця пісня і пропонує вгадати тему уроку.

За вчителем учні повторюють слова пісні по рядку

Прослуховування пісні повторно. Діти співають

Вчитель підбадьорює учнів словами Good!, Great you are! Super!

ІІІ. Основна частина

Вправа 1

Вчитель демонструє картки і вимовляє слова. Учні повторюють декілька разів.

Вчитель вказує на малюнок, вимовляє слово і показує жестами. Діти повторюють кілька разів.

Вчитель викликає учня, що буде показувати жестами слова, а учні відповідають, що за слово. Потім ведучий називає слово, а учні показують жестами. Ведучий міняється декілька разів.

Вчитель пропонує учням пограти один з одним в парах, попередньо розподіливши учнів на пари.

Вправа 2.

Вчитель демонструє учням велику коробку і пропонує стати у колону. Учні по черзі, не дивлячись, витягають з коробки предмети (подаруночок, свічку, маленьку кульку, ляльковий пластмасовий тортик, листівку) і називає їх. Потім стає в кінець черги. Коли всі учні взяли участь, вчитель пропонує їм зайняти свої місця і по черзі підходить до кожного і говорить : Take … . діти повинні взяти той предмет, який озвучив вчитель.

Вправа 3.

На кожному стільчику є малюночок. Під музику учні рухаються по колу. Коли музика зупиняється, вони сідають на той стільчик, який знаходиться поруч. Вчитель просить декількох учнів назвати слово зі стільчика. Так продовжувати до тих пір, поки всі учні не візьмуть участь у грі.

Вправа 4.

Вчитель роздає учням заготовки листівок. Учні розмальовують їх за бажанням і дарують тому, хто сидить поруч зі словами Happy birthday!

Всі ще раз співають пісню Happy birthday

ІV. Підсумок уроку

Кожен учень підходить до вчителя і називає слова, що запам’ятав сьогодні. Вчитель вручає учням кульки.
